Island Pride Garden Co

Anne and John

June at the garden centre is full of colour and growth, as are the fields and yards across PEI.  The veggies have started, the trees are leafing out and early flowers are beginning. If food is your thing, the tomatoes and peppers are filling out.  The veggie starts are looking great, beans, cucumbers and squash to list a few. We have fruit trees in stock including Apples, Pears, Peaches and Cherries. Apple trees need a pollinator tree but many of the peaches, cherries and pears are self pollinators. Most fruits are more productive with 2-3 together.  Some of our favorite early June bloomers include the pansies and the flowers on the fruit trees. The shrubs are  showing colours including lilacs, dogwoods, crabapples and rhododendrons.  As the spring season begins, we look forward to seeing many customers drop by the garden centre to walk through the yard and greenhouses to see what is growing and perhaps get a bit of advice.  For some, it is a disappointment that our Hunter river location will not open this year, but hoping  you will take the drive to Wood Islands.  We are stocked and ready for your arrival.  Follow us on facebook and check out our updated website at islandpride.ca.  Our hours are 9-5 Monday through Saturday and Sundays 12-5pm.  854 TCH Wood Islands PE
